Responsibilities
- Process and verify incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy in amounts, dates, and general ledger coding.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems for financial records and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports and variance analysis to management.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes and audit preparations.
- Perform general clerical duties such as answering phones and responding to inquiries regarding account status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
