Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Process VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
- Assist with year-end audits and tax documentation preparation
- Maintain accurate financial records in accounting software (Xero/Sage)
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with senior finance team on financial analysis
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in practice or industry
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Experience with Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks accounting software
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
