Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly to ensure discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll processing, ensuring all tax filings are accurate.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and company financial policies.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations to external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and high accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
