Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and audits.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Manage bank reconciliations and expense reporting for the department.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and budget support.
- Ensure all financial documentation is organized, secure, and easily accessible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification or progress towards certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, weekly reporting cycle.
