Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management accounts
- Manage accounts payable/receivable with weekly reconciliation cycles
- Conduct comprehensive VAT returns and HMRC compliance reporting
- Assist in annual audits and internal control improvements
- Implement and maintain cloud-based accounting systems (Xero/QuickBooks)
- Provide financial forecasting and budget variance analysis
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
- Minimum 3 years UK accounting experience
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel Advanced functions
- Demonstrated experience with weekly payroll processing cycles
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
