Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a weekly basis to identify discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings, specifically adhering to California state regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Perform internal audits and financial reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Provide detailed financial reporting to management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax laws.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex data sets.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with team members and clients.
- Ability to meet weekly deadlines and manage a high volume of transactions efficiently.
