Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Assist with payroll processing to guarantee timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies immediately.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns and maintain compliance documentation.
- Assist in budget preparation and provide variance analysis to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
