Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and regulatory compliance reports
- Conduct bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliations with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and audits
- Collaborate with tax preparation teams to ensure accurate filing and compliance
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and NY tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with proven experience in reconciliations and financial reporting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation highly desirable
