Responsibilities
- Weekend Financial Close: Lead the end-to-end accounting close process specifically for weekends, ensuring all journals are posted and reconciled accurately.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Payroll & Invoicing: Process weekly payroll and manage accounts payable and receivable functions during the weekend shift.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and operational metrics for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP, local regulations, and company internal controls.
- Support: Assist the full-time finance team with year-end audits and special financial projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for candidates comfortable working weekend shifts.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) or accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero).
- Certifications: CPA, CMA, or EA certification is highly preferred.
- Work Schedule: Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday (or alternative weekend schedules) on a rotating basis.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
