Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan approval committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of default
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure credit solutions aligned with client needs
- Stay current on regulatory compliance (FHA, VA, conventional lending standards)
- Develop and maintain risk scoring models for commercial and consumer loans
- Present complex financial data in clear, actionable reports for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit scoring systems
- Deep understanding of credit risk metrics and industry regulations
- Certified Credit Analyst (CCA) designation preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
