Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership federal and state tax returns with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct thorough research on complex tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
- Manage and maintain client relationships, providing exceptional service and answering inquiries regarding tax filings.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
- Collaborate with senior accountants on tax planning strategies and year-end close procedures.
- Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte) efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
- Perform general accounting duties and reconcile accounts as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting is strongly desired.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and relevant tax codes (IRC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with tax software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to clients and team members.
