Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to evaluate commercial credit applications
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments with clear recommendations for credit committees
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and proactively identify potential risks or opportunities
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal financing solutions for clients
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (FIRREA, BSA)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams including underwriting and legal
- Stay current on economic indicators affecting credit risk in Western markets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Expertise in financial modeling, ratio analysis, and cash flow forecasting
- Proficiency with credit software (e.g., Moody's, FICO) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical thinking with ability to synthesize complex information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Remote work experience with proven ability to manage deliverables independently
- Valid driver's license for occasional client meetings in Bay Area
