Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts daily
- Process accounts payable/receivable with 24-hour turnaround
- Prepare monthly financial statements for client review
- Manage payroll processing for 15+ clients
- Conduct bank reconciliations weekly
- Assist with quarterly tax preparation documentation
- Implement internal controls for financial data integrity
- Train junior bookkeepers on company systems
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks/Xero
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Payroll processing certification (ADP/QuickBooks Payroll)
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple client portfolios
- Familiarity with sales tax filing requirements
