Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees including garnishments, bonuses, and commissions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (CA, federal)
- Manage payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end processing (W-2s, 1099s)
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on payroll-related projects and system implementations
- Conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Support payroll system upgrades and process improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Advanced knowledge of CA labor laws and federal tax regulations
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS systems
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
