Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and error-free.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Process payroll and ensure all tax filings are completed on time and in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or general accounting (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
