In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and filing individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You will also provide exceptional service to our diverse client base, helping them navigate complex tax landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide proactive tax planning advice.
- Review and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax statuses, deadlines, and inquiries.
- Assist with audits, tax examinations, and financial statement reviews.
- Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., Intuit ProSeries, Lacerte) efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of progressive experience in tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. tax laws, regulations, and code sections.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
