Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Process payroll for part-time staff accurately and on time.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Maintain an organized filing system for both digital and physical financial documents.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and financial audits as needed.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and payments.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or GED required.
