Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, general ledger entries, and monthly reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly payroll and ensure all deductions are calculated correctly.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
