Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis with high precision.
- Process payroll accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and detailed reports for management review.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
- Handle general ledger entries and ensure data integrity across all financial systems.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional certification (CPA/CMA/AAIA).
- 2+ years of verifiable experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online/Pro is highly preferred; Xero and Sage experience is a plus).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting while meeting deadlines.
