Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and verify invoices, manage payments, and ensure all accounts are current.
- Payroll Support: Assist with weekend payroll processing and timekeeping verification.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly or monthly financial reports for management review.
- General Ledger: Maintain and update the general ledger system, including journal entries.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes adhere to GAAP and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a weekend or shift-based role.
- Software: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Excel Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.
