Apex Financial Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Weekend Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our accounting operations during the weekend, allowing our team to focus on other critical business areas during the week.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable invoices and manage vendor relationships.
- Manage and categorize monthly expenses and incoming payments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and adjusting journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and petty cash funds.
- Assist the finance team with month-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during weekend shifts.
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
