Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Bookkeeping: Oversee daily bookkeeping operations for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in the preparation of tax documents, financial audits, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the accounting department to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding financial inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a professional setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
