Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and annual financial close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist in the budget preparation and forecasting processes for department heads.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Manage and audit accounts payable and receivable processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
