Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable operations to ensure timely processing and accurate recording of transactions.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or anomalies identified during the process.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns, including federal, state, and local filings.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial analysis and budget forecasting support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
