Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage daily transactions, process invoices, and ensure accurate recording of all financial data.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Payroll Support: Support the payroll process by verifying data and assisting with payroll tax filings.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of professional accounting experience required; prior experience in the Miami area is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
