The Role:
In this pivotal position, you will oversee key accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with management to provide actionable financial data and drive business performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, including audit support and vendor management.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
