Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate customer billing.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify risks and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare budgets and forecasts for future growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
