Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring full compliance with GAAP standards.
- Manage complex accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Oversee the monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting to support executive decision-making.
- Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors effectively.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of tax laws and financial regulations specific to Florida and the US.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
