Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes specifically for the weekend shift to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules for internal management and external auditors.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and perform monthly depreciation calculations.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and corporate compliance reports.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve complex accounting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow management and budgeting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proven experience with weekend closing cycles or availability to work Saturday/Sunday shifts.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
