Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments for commercial loan applications exceeding $5M
- Build complex financial models to forecast default probabilities and exposure at default
- Analyze industry-specific risk factors and market trends affecting portfolio performance
- Prepare detailed credit memos presenting risk mitigation strategies to executive committee
- Manage existing client relationships through quarterly portfolio reviews and covenant monitoring
- Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-departmental risk assessment initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience with portfolio management responsibilities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, Power Query) and financial modeling software
- Expertise in S&P Capital IQ, Moody's Analytics, or similar credit databases
- Strong understanding of Basel III compliance and IFRS 9 standards
- Proven track record in structuring complex debt facilities and covenant packages
