Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely reconciliation
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for financial controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific requirements
- Lead special projects including financial modeling and cost optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 in a senior role
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax codes, and financial reporting standards
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing operational costs
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial data to stakeholders
