Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are recorded accurately and payments are made on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to maintain accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes adhere to company policies and applicable accounting standards (GAAP).
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Xero is required; knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is essential.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and vendors.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
