Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee the full cycle of bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies immediately.
- Software Proficiency: Manage client accounts using industry-standard software such as QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Reporting: Prepare financial statements, trial balances, and tax schedules for internal review and external reporting.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll for small to medium-sized businesses, ensuring compliance with local Washington state regulations.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for client queries regarding financial records and reports.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus but not required.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume setting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-centric approach.
