Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for leadership review
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations (federal/state)
- Oversee accounts receivable collections and credit management
- Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with auditors during financial examinations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with full-cycle responsibilities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and Illinois state tax regulations
