Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance commentary
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations
- Lead accounts payable/receivable operations and cash flow forecasting
- Coordinate external audits and ensure SOX compliance
- Develop and implement process improvements for financial reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for executive leadership
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial analysis projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA knowledge a plus)
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail with problem-solving aptitude
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in high-pressure situations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
