Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare, analyze, and report monthly financial statements and performance reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns, including quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Perform internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Review and approve accounts payable invoices and accounts receivable collections.
- Support the finance team with budget preparation and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
