Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filings.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Perform regular audits of financial data and internal controls.
- Collaborate with the finance manager on budget preparation and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
