Responsibilities
- Invoice Verification: Receive, verify, and code vendor invoices for payment to ensure accuracy of costs and coding.
- Payment Processing: Process payments via check, ACH, or electronic transfer in a timely manner.
- Vendor Liaison: Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and address inquiries professionally.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and files.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable statements and resolve any outstanding balances.
- Reporting: Assist the accounting team with month-end close processes and generate required reports.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data accurately into our accounting software systems.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required; we teach the skills you need.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic to intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is preferred).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
