Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure all tax withholdings and garnishments are accurate.
- Collaborate with department heads to assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all financial documents and records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate status is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of accuracy.
