Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and annual financial closing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed reporting to senior management.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
