Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to identify discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments.
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and ERP systems.
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
