Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and subsidiary accounts.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, reconcile statements, and ensure timely payment and collection of funds.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
- Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate tax withholdings and deductions.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a Bookkeeper or in an accounting role.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks and/or Excel (advanced functions required).
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and confidentiality.
