Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure all vendor and client invoices are recorded accurately and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and monthly reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll data, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Record Keeping: Organize and maintain physical and electronic financial records in compliance with company policies and auditing standards.
- Tax Preparation: Assist the finance team in gathering necessary documentation for year-end tax filings and audits.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software is required.
- Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas, is highly preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
