Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and post monthly financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and audits.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical financial records.
- Collaborate with the senior accountant to identify trends and improve financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros).
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
