Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all employees in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for management review.
- Tax Compliance: Support the accounting team during tax season by gathering necessary documentation and filings.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure high levels of accuracy in all financial data.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
