Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for 50+ client portfolios using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Coordinate VAT submissions and HMRC compliance documentation
- Support audit preparation and maintain robust financial controls
- Lead process improvements using automation tools (Zapier/Power Automate)
- Mentor junior finance staff during peak reporting periods
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' UK-based bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent accounting qualification
- Proven experience with multi-currency transactions
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions with 99.9% accuracy
- Experience in fintech or professional services environment
- Immediate availability for full-time onsite/ hybrid role
