Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform accurate bank and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll and ensuring tax filings are up to date.
- Bookkeeping Systems: Maintain and update company books using QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices to ensure timely payment.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Location Flexibility: Willingness to work in Minneapolis or support clients remotely in Illinois.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
