Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead budgeting processes and variance reporting for department heads
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and tax season
- Implement process improvements using financial software solutions
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
- Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling and KPI tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA knowledge
- Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams and cross-departmental projects
- Ohio CPA license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
