Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and ensure timely payments.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements.
- Maintain accurate ledgers using accounting software (Sage/Xero).
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
- Professional qualification such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a busy environment.
