Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Account Management: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and reconciled timely.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to maintain financial data integrity.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve internal controls.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory for this role.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in general accounting or a similar financial role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and team members.
